Yesterday was my first day back which proved to be a challenge because of the stairs! Haha! Also the kris kringle amongst teachers and everything else haha.

A new mini-sode of the 8th Doctor was released and it contained his regeneration scene to the War Doctor...John Hurt. It was a decision to transform himself so technically it wasn't a regeneration it was a some sort of spell or whatever potion. I don't know everything will be explained next week! Haha! :)

Got a headache earlier tonight so went to bed early but now wide awake! :) Haha! :) Oh well!

Went to Lipa today to visit our relatives who had passed away. It's the usual practice given the holidays of All Soul's and All Saint's Day

I guess in the end a job well done is when students appreciate what you do for them. Haha, I enjoyed the camp more than I thought and now I am so sabaw because my cousin is sleeping over and I think we just laughed so hard for the past few hours...

Living Rosary

It was nice celebrating Living Rosary again and celebrating my birthday at Veritas with my fellow teachers. Haha, love eating and laughing with my fellow teachers at the Guidance Office earlier and my boss wasn't even there because she had a seminar to go to. :) Haha! Oh well!

Yesterday was the Study in Canada fair :) and it was the best! Haha biased ba? :)

Anyway, today was my last class for the 2nd quarter in Lit with a lot of happenings!

Firstly, both classes surprised me with cakes and other stuff. It was very sweet and touching :)

And then something happened in the other section that I think brought me closer to some of them. :) And I think they got to know me a little better. :)

Oh well! Career is finally done and I can focus on the DepEd reports! :)

What happened this week?

Well I thought my classes for 4 hours and whew! What a feat it was!

Three day weekend turned into a four day weekend with no classes today because of the weather. Friday was a holiday and spent it at Tagaytay and slept at the condo with cousins after watching Sea of Monsters.

Yesterday's day was pure epic with lunch at Italiannis and dinner at Fridays. And hearing mass at that big chapel in Landmark :)

I'm pretty blessed to have open-minded parents...like how my mom and dad are ok with hearing mass inside malls unlike the conservative Christian family they both belong into. :)

Monday blues again tomorrow but this is the first week that I'll be teaching Lit so fingers crossed!

My day turned itself around all thanks to my wonderful club! Woohoo!! :)

VPS Photo Club gave me the smile of the day. Not only did they perform well in their activity but you could see a real drive in them and that they loved that they signed up for this club! Haha, love you all!

My day was a busy one with many students taking their exam and having a conflict with the schedule, not to mention I'm still scared about my learning plan for literature and the fact that many of the students are just down right spoiled...I mean its lessens your energy to even get up from your desk and teach them...

But the students I have in my club really turned my day and I love them for it! :) And immensely proud of their shots today! Haha! :)

CORY!!

I've followed Glee ever since and it just tore my heart that Cory passed away...sure I hated Finn in the latter part of Season 4 but Cory brought out the character in him that made me hate Finn...he performed so well against the earlier Finn in S1 and you could just see the change from the confused football player to the young man struggling with life...

I almost cried earlier...especially remembering Cory's I'll Stand By You...I can't even turn to my playlist for comfort with all the Glee songs there...I just can't

SEB Election results was today and it brought back a lot of memories...

Totally forgot about the writing project I wanted to start up but it's all good. Might start it this weekend and hoepfully I can stay true to it until the end of the year! :) Fingers crossed. And that it might get recognition. Hopefully...many people start it but I just hope I get to fulfill my dream of being a writer.

3 Day Retreat

Went to a retreat at Batangas for the past few days with the Veritan community! :)

Today, Ms. Millette and I watched Game 2 of Spurs VS Memphis and let's just say it was an intense game that ended in OT! :) And SPURS won!!! :)

My group mates from the retreat, even if they are Seniors, was an incredible experience. And now back to life and reality! Oh and Happy 22!

School of Fear

Another great book that I have been dying to read since I first saw it in FB Rockwell. Bought and finished it today! :) Haha! :)

Survived no electricity!

Haha, when I got home we didn't have electricity because a lightning hit the electricity post thing for our street :)

Part of the family

There was a sort of melancholy earlier today when we celebrated our principal's birthday. The same speech but it hit you right in the chest...how when you're part of something...you actually become part of the family. No matter what. And it kinda hurts, especially when I myself think of not staying here for a long time because of other stuff.

It just...I want to be part of that family but at the same time I want to see my dream fulfilled. :(

To add, Monsi was at school earlier and it was such a joyous moment to see him again. :) I miss him so much! Haha, he was always looking out for us students and I felt that again when I met Bro. Ricky. Such fatherly figures in my life :)

Election

And my faith in a possible change befalling my country crashed and burn when I saw the initial election returns...I guess it will never happen at all.

Let me draw a picture...a candidate tried and convicted of corruption, imprisoned and then pardoned who almost won the Presidency again is now winning the mayoral sit in a city he's not even a citizen off. He only moved there oh maybe about less than a year ago. Why is he winning? Well because before he became a politician, he was an action star.

The leader in the National position race is the daughter of yet another action star whose entire family actually lives in the United States. Why is she winning? Her last name.

Another person who just came out of no where ran for a national post is winning...why? Because of her last name.

The weather pretty much played around with planet Earth today. First it was damn hot then rained so hard with lightning and thunder so loud and then hot again then rained again...

Bought books today and rekindled my love for a certain character :) Haha!

Magnum Opus Fine Coffee

Got stranded there for about two hours because of the hard rain fall but it was so fun and even though we were so noisy as usual, it was the best Friday hang-out with my friends! :) Woohoo!

Fastest Election ever

I attended a Guidance Counselor Seminar earlier and had an election for the association and it was the fastest election ever because most of the people just wanted to go home already seeing that it was a Friday! Haha! Love it! :)

Adventure tomorrow, again!

Last day of my usual work week today! :) Haha! Love it! Oh well, tomorrow I'll be attending a seminar on guidance and teachers and I am ordered to interact with people...which I think I can't do but oh well! Must try!

Been away

So last 26 we went our way to Tuguegarao which was roughly a 12 hour bus ride! Yeah! Internet was actually pretty stable in a way in the first hotel we stayed at, Las Palmas. And then well let's just say I was worried about my laptop but everything is a-ok now! Climbed a mountain to get to a series of caves which were awesome! And then it rained as we call it the , revenge of the horses who we were supposed to ride around the city but never mind.

27 we were at Cottages Inn Santa Ana! Again, WiFi but not stable. Many lizards but the night was spent lighting up Sky Lanterns! Woohoo! :)

28 was at Aparri! Seeing the point where the ocean and the river met. Breeze!

Over all it was right that Cagayan had a tag-line, where adventure never ends! It was such a fun experience!

Today, had my laptop fixed because of my idiocity of resenting it to factory settings!

Ok so Broadchurch ended and I was correct with the murderer. :) Yeah! Haha! Love it, got to play detective with DI Hardy (played by David Tennant!) Haha! Anyway, other detective show, Murdoch Mysteries, is totally occupying my head and everything else! Haha!

But my day was pretty much spent in DFA where I had to renew my passport. I finished the book I brought with me because well there was nothing else to do with so many people there and patience is the only true thing you can practice while waiting for the different steps. Which was weird because when my parents did it back in October they were done after maybe about 2 hours, unlike me who was fortunate to endure the DFA process by 4 hours. Yes, 4 hours!

If anyway stumbles by this, by any chance, and you're from the DFA...please for the life of me fix your system! I mean people can't just take that rubbish of a system and you charge us with almost a thousand pesos when you're system is so lousy! Ok, so maybe my experience was the most drastic but it was still so bad! You're supposed to be a government office that serves the people, not make the people's lives miserable.

Yesterday was spent at Quezon City because my parents along with my grandparents went to watch this weird show with a comedic impersonator.

So anyway, my night was spent with my cousins, reminiscing the old days and watching Be Careful With My Heart DVDs with my aunt! Haha! Love it!

Spent today at Rockwell and pretty much slept the entire day :)

So there was this last activity for the year and HE basically proclaimed to the entire amphi that he loves me and then it rained and we transfered to a sort of auditorium in LS and he kissed me and it was just like...a great dream and for a second I thought it was all true. I mean why can't it just happen?

Easter Vigil Mass

Well the dummy 'Judas' was a bit of an over kill...so it was a little weird.

But the feast after the Easter Vigil was delicious and so many that the usual Project 8 noise and fun was as usual the best!

The Usual Good Friday

Went to Lipa, Batangas for the Good Friday procession because our family owns one of the "santos" being used in the procession. It's the Black Nazarene, or the statue of Jesus carrying the cross.

It's the usual procession scene while waiting for the procession to start, my dad and uncles meet their old friends who stay in Lipa and talk and catch up and we younger folk are called to "mano" or be re-introduced to our "titos" and "titas".

And of course the dinner afterwards when we're finally allowed to eat. Haha and of course bonding with my family.

A Different Way of the Cross

We went and visited the Stations of the Cross at Boni High and it's different but it touched me so hard. I almost cried inside one of the stations.

So the stations are interpreted, and each station you have an act to do and they are all so wonderful and touching that I did all of them. Tying a green ribbon to a tree signifying a promise to be a steward of God's creation, donating to a kid's foundation, carrying a cross (a real big one!), taking a piece of red cloth and hammering it into a cross, having "wine" and "bread" signifying a promise to be a disciple of Jesus...

They were all just brilliantly done and so powerful that they really are something special.

Visita Iglesia this year was different and short but it was brilliant and with my experience today, it has strengthened my faith and my understanding of my religion.

Hospital Duty

Hospital duty again today but the great thing was my godmother was released today! Wohoo!

I am currently on a vacation mode...well until Wednesday I mean and Thursday it's all serious with Visita Iglesia amongst other traditions we normally do for Holy Week.

But today and tomorrow will be dedicated to my godmother who is confined in the hospital.

The hotness of the world

Why do we live in a Tropical country? I mean why can't we live in a moderate country, not too hot and not too cold?

Being in the province earlier was a challenge, not only was it damn hot but it was traffic everywhere. You think since it was the province it wouldn't be that traffic at all.

My parents bought a new washing machine earlier and it was just a break I needed being at the mall and eating DQ to answer the scorching heat outside.

Last vacation starts tomorrow and hopefully it's alright.

My cousin had her recognition day today and we surprised her with asort of pizza party. Then we watched High School Musical! Haha! Love it!

Today was a pretty busy day. My family and I went to comfession and the priest was so laid back and funny that it was actually a pretty fun confession. I wish I could always confess to him!

Then we watched The Croods which almost made me cry! Haha!

My day with a friend

Today was fun! Haha! Spent most of the day with my college friend, Nina Dela Cruz! And she broke my heart when we watched Crazy Little Thing Called Love! Haha! But I will forever watch this movie again whenever I need to feel good and giddy as always!

It was so fun to have Nina around the house earlier! It was like TLS Office days all over again! Haha!

Tonight on the other hand is a different mood altogether. Apprently there's speculations already about the General Elections and that Robert lost and I really just want o text him or message him but of course I know it won't amount to nothing because he's basically mad at me. And I don't even know why he is!

I just hope he's ok and all that.

And a week has gone by

I am so terribly sorry for letting a week pass by...

The previous weekend was spent in Baguio and the days prior were spent with me being alone at home and doing chores and watching movies from my hard drive.

The Baguio experience was surreal because we rode there with no driver or bus and Pres. Aquino was also there for the PMA Graduation. It was cold! Finally but Sunday was hot already.

Our car was fun and we basically laughed so hard the entire road trip. Going home was a bit scary because we used Kennon Road, the zigzag of doom where you basically go where the mountain was. I mean you could literally look down and see a pit so high that it'll make you nauseous.

Monday, I went to the UKEAS thing and I met the head of Newcastle University and pretty much painted me a picture of studying in UK which actually is a very open thing. Expensive but they do give out scholarships.

My sister's been sick the entire week and I hope she feels better. Just had to add that in.

What basically was the highlight of the week was the book I bought by the same writer who wrote 'Grace'. I saw Grace on the Bargain shelf of National and saw the same design but different color, green this time around. The title was The Christmas List and it really tore my heart out and jumped on it and put it back inside my body. Scarring it for life. The book is brilliant and people should read it.

Oh well, before my laptop dies of overheating.

THESIS Defense

Of Veritans earlier. 8-5:30 of nothing but listening to HS students defending their baby thesis not so well but hey they did pretty well for a bunch of High Schoolers. I did manage or we (not just me) made some students cry but again it WASN'T JUST ME!!!

It was nice being at the old AVR again even if it's as an Alumni and the chairperson of the panel of examiners. :)

Ultimately the best day ever!

Ok so today is the 40th day anniversary of my cousin's passing and I think he gave it to me as a present. Because today is probably one of the best days ever in my life! I got to meet so many fantastic people who all share the same likes as I do and I just couldn't believe it!

And of course I got to meet Ransom Riggs! (If you don't know who he is, I am judging you.) I got my book signed and I got a picture with him! And I even really had a conversation with him about photography!

To top it all off, souvenirs from Canada also arrived today! :) Haha!

One of the best days ever! I really cannot comprehend what I have done to deserve such a day!

Heavy Saturday

Slept until 11 am this morning because of night time ventures! Haha! But oh well.

Went to ATC and I managed to eat Dairy Quen Blizzard, drink SereniTea and bought a book that was entitled "Grace" which I first thought was a religious novel but then it turned out to be one of the greatest books I've ever read in my life!

Criminal Minds

When nostalgia hits

Spent most of my day at Taft with two of my high school friends, exchanging stories and videos :) Haha! Finally have LeMis and POTO 25th specials, plus Russian Holmes! And my friend got some movies and Granada plus my DW DVDs until summer.

Hope she has a lot of fun as I will be with what she gave me! :) AHHH!

I miss Kam and Portia and I really love hanging out with them. I really am more of a listener and I love how Kam and Por really are great people to hang around with. AHHH, I miss high school. It really was like a blink of an eye.

When everything hits you...

I guess this was what Braggy was feeling during our Xmas party last year.

I texted my editor-in-chief, Patrick, how sorry I was that I won’t be able to help with an article tomorrow as I had previously promised last Monday because of requirements I need to accomplish if I want to to continue to study internationally on September.

I was in DLSU earlier but wasn’t able to see Patrick at all because I really needed to tell him that I can’t come to school anymore because of helping out at my uncle’s company. And when he replied tonight that it was ok and the usual “toh naman” and imagining him saying it. I started to tear up.

It wasn’t just not being able to go to school tomorrow but not able to go to Braggy’s party tomorrow night that’s been nagging me.

I suddenly realized that I won’t be seeing this people everyday, when I’ve gotten used to them for the past year or so working for TLS. I then realized that I’m gonna miss them terribly. It’s not just about graduation, but not being able to hear the stories, to hang-out in the office, to work on articles…

I’m going to miss these people.

It’s funny how I’ve been a member of the USG for my entire stay in DLSU and TLS for half of it and yet I feel so sad leaving TLS. (I’m still crying right now.)

I’m inside my room, blasting music, so that my parents won’t notice that I’m sobbing like someone just broke my heart because a group of people just did. Well technically it’s my fault for leaving.

It’s going to be me reminiscing about all those times I had to climb up the 5 flights of stairs just to reach that noisy, filled with joy and laughter office that would instantly grow silent when Sir Randy or Ate Ella knocks on the door. The room where you can never actually accomplish anything because you’re too busy laughing at someone’s story or joke or acting skills. The couch where newbies would sit and eventually an editor or an older staffer would approach them and get them to talk.

I’m going to miss those days…I’m going to miss TLS so much that it’s basically breaking my heart. These are the people I could always turn to, the people who actually made my life in La Salle worth while. These are the best people you’ll ever meet and if you’re a Lasallian reading this, come June join because the best people you’ll ever meet in your lifetime will be these people.

TLS, I never thought you’d do this me, turn me into an emotional wreck. I love you and I will miss you and I just wish I didn’t have to leave but I do. And I join another publication in the future, one publication will forever have a place in my heart and that’s the bastion of issue-oriented critical thinking, The La Sallian.

950th Post

Is boring because basically I repeated my day yesterday. Waking up early, praying, downloading some stuff and reading...reading...reading.

Got some writing done and well that's just about it.

At least tomorrow will sure be an eventful day!

Back in Taft

Went to DLSU for the Job Expo and to fix some articles. Hopefully I can finally tell Patrick what I've been fearing...I just can't do everything...I have to give on one area and there it is.

It was fun seeing everyone earlier and I saw Steph! Yeah! Lunch with Kim, Neens, Ana, Michelle and Nina! Haha!

Articles...ahhh. I can't do this anymore...I need a miracle with my life or something.

Back to reality

Well back to normal as my grandmother said. She wants everything to be back to normal, so we can all get used to the idea that we had lost another member of our family.

We went to Quezon City today then went to Casimiro to bid farewell to my godmother who is going back to the US on the first week of February.

On top of it all, I'll be going to Taft tomorrow for the Job Fair and a few articles I need to sort out before really bidding good-bye to my Lasallian life.

I feel so bloated because of eating too much food today.

Exhausting

Spent the entire day, I think standing up.

Was at Kuya JR's wake most of the day, taking care of my hper-active niece who seems to have me a third favorite. Because she kept screaming my name followed by screaming Issa's name.

There were so many people earlier and it was just tiring.

Yesterday, spent the entire day well most of it asleep.

Gone too soon

My cousin died today. He was 24 years old. My mother side has been in a roller-coaster ride this week. My uncle was rushed to the hospital because of high blood pressure this weekend and then this happens.

He was the best friend (cousin) of my older brother who passed away roughly 11 years ago. They were so tight that they got into trouble most of the time together. They were so annoying but they were down right funny and I'm guessing right know they're back together having fun in heaven.

I've never seen, heard or want to see and hear the cries I heard today. It's seeing and hearing the people you care about howling in despair and you know you can't do anything about it. Many people kept saying that at least he wasn't in pain, that it was quick and that's he's in heaven but that's just it...he's gone. He's no longer here and we were just caught by surprise...it was like a big punch in your gut. Kuya JR is gone and he's never coming back.

How do you explain something like that to a three year old? How do you explain something like this to other people? What happens to living a long life and going day by day in routine? What happens to having your youngest son die in front of you? Better yet, what happens when another of your grandchildren die before you do?

What happens when another brother of yours, die?

Like my aunt said earlier today, it's like your world literally stops. It was just totally unexpected...I mean he was woken up because it was his turn to use the shower and go to work...but then he collapsed and everything changed.

Funny, that it was also our grandmother's birthday today.

This has been the longest day of my entire life and at the ride home...I wish that it would just end. Tomorrow, Kuya JR will still be dead, as well as another brother or cousin or son or grandchild or co-worker or friend or stranger out in the world. The statistics of people dying doesn't help it at all. Honestly, nothing helps this situation at all.

22 and I

The 22nd of every month is really just a special day for me! And today was not exception. It's like my luckiest day of every month.

Today, I saw the list of graduates and HMN was next to it. Sure I wanted CLD or MLD or SLD but hey at least there was still something written beside my name! And gosh darn it, my name is on that list! The list of graduating students this February!

Also, I read The Fault In Our Stars and I finished it in roughly four hours because I just couldn't put it down. Literally. It was just a work of art like Looking For Alaska before and it was perfect. Inspired me to write once again and I am finishing a story. (Although it is fanfiction, I am finishing it.)

I was pretty much stuck all by myself in my cousin's house with either the laptop, the TV, my phone, a book and my cousin's Ipad as a companion. And hey, I made it through the day with high hopes for some of the things I need to do.

Anyway, the bed is calling and I am turning in early because gosh darn it I was already awake by 4 am. So, hello sleep and dreamland!

That was a very long hiatus, the very long post

Yes, I know. Supposedly this is my diary to give my children when I grow old or even to look back and reminisce. Well there's going to be a huge chunk missing. I the next few days will be the going back to those days and enumerate if there are things to be remembered from November 5 to January 21.

I can recall the past few days... I think but then again I have to if I really want to fulfill the purpose of this blog in the entire point!

Oh well, then let's start with today! My day started out ordinarily and the same as the past few weeks that classes have started and I am all alone at home because I don't go to school anymore because I'm just waiting for graduation this February. But then it turned into a baby sitting thing for my cousin whose father (and my godfather) is confined in the hospital because of high blood. Now, I am at Sta Rosa. And we have the entire house to ourselves. Then again, she's going on a field trip tomorrow so the entire day I'll be all alone.

Yesterday, Sunday, we went to Quezon City as usual and visited my godfather in the hospital. I heard mass at 7:30 in the morning because of what happened on Saturday. Downloaded and watched LesMis.

(Jan. 19) Saturday we watched Les Miserables. We, being my cousins and aunts and an uncle at SM North Edsa. The entire family (not including me though) also attended the wedding so we were basically at Project 8, Quezon City the entire day. And I basically spend the morning and bits of the afternoon watching movies and shows from my external.

(Jan. 18) Friday, I went to Makati because the rents and I were watching Les Miserables at Greenbelt. I stayed at the Greenbelt Family Lounge for more or less two hours. My mom and I ate at Papa Johns because my dad was still looking for a parking space. I then played some arcade at Timezone were I won a Superman stuff toy while my dad ate his dinner at a coffee shop. The movie made me cry, and ti made me cry as well during the second time I watched it. In my defense, the second time, my cousin cried as well.

(Jan. 17) Thursday, was again the same routine of waking up early, checking the internet, watching Hawaii Five-O classic whilst waiting for the Russian Holmes download to finish. Which has been going on for a week already. And also everyday, I'm looking and applying for jobs.

I can't remember anymore but I have to don't I? Well, I'll just have to try extra hard. The usual happened this Xmas break, sleeping at Quezon City for the last time since I'm already of working classification. Having that blowout lunch when I was at my OJT. Having the quatro term, and getting that 99.8 grade for Positive Psychology, that was very unexpected. The DEFENSE of my thesis. The speech for consideration for the recognition. My final day as an undergrad. The Xmas parties and dinners with friends. The duel with Jan-Ace and basically everything else! :) 2012 ended with a bang and 2013 started with different experiences that coincides with me growing up and being in the harsh world of what is called LIFE.

But hey, I can still write, and that's what I'm doing right now. Time to live LIFE and not let it bring me down.
